Can’t consider it’s over… The award-winning BBC police drama Pleased Valley concluded final night time with a strong finale, watched by 7.5 million viewers. Such sensible TV. Genius writing courtesy of Sally Wainwright and very good appearing led by Sarah Lancashire. How good is it to see an genuine, 50-something girl because the star of the present?
Each episode is stuffed with wonderful quotes and laugh-out-loud one-liners, however my favorite is Sergeant Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) speaking about ageing and her impending retirement:
‘I’m simply turning into the individual I at all times wished to be. Don’t take shit off anybody, any extra. I say it like it’s. I do know who I’m. Lastly. And I do know the be-all and end-all isn’t essentially to get myself hitched to the primary flaky twat of a person who occurs alongside.’
There’s an important function on Catherine Cawood/ Sarah Lancashire HERE.
We want extra ladies like this on our screens.
